As the world marks World Humanitarian Day, Chief Do-Good O. Efe-Nogo (JP), Onotu-Uku of Orogun Kingdom, has called on the people of Orogun to embrace humanitarian efforts that uplift those in need.
Reflecting on this year’s theme, #NoMatterWhat, which underscores the dedication of humanitarians globally, Chief Efe-Nogo emphasized the need for Orogun to stand united with the Okpara-Uku in providing support within the kingdom and beyond.
“The call to humanitarian service is not just an act of charity; it is a moral duty that we must all embrace,” he stated. “Let us rally together, as humanitarians do daily, to bring hope and relief to those in need, no matter the challenges.”
Chief Efe-Nogo urged Orogun’s sons and daughters to draw inspiration from global humanitarians and engage in initiatives that address the pressing needs of the vulnerable in the community. He paid a glowing tribute to those whose humanitarian spirit embodies the timeless Orogun creed, “mmadu a gharu nwane n’ogu”—not abandoning our brothers and sisters in times of need.
In conclusion, Chief Efe-Nogo, whose first name ‘Do-Good’ epitomizes the essence of humanitarianism, reaffirmed his commitment to humanitarian initiatives in Orogun Kingdom and encouraged everyone to be active contributors to the well-being of others. “Let us be the change-makers, ensuring that no one is left behind, #NoMatterWhat.”
