On Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, Mr. Ese Agbobore, the Welfare Director of the UPU Youth Wing and the representative for the Ughelli kingdom, convened a pivotal meeting at Ogbowan Town Hall. The primary focus of the meeting was to seek amicable solutions to the ongoing land dispute between the Ogbowan and Afiesere communities.
Held in Ughelli, Delta State, the meeting saw the active participation of the Ogbowan Community Youth Chairman, his executive members, and the Community President General.
The urgency of the gathering stemmed from the escalating tensions within the Great Ughelli Kingdom due to the unresolved land dispute. Mr. Agbobore emphasized the critical role of peace in promoting regional development and progress. He highlighted that sustainable growth can only flourish in a harmonious environment.
Recognizing the pressing nature of the situation, Mr. Agbobore urged leaders and stakeholders to address the issue promptly to prevent further escalation.
