Effurun, Delta State – The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Dr. Duke Okoro, hosted a grand celebration in honour of his son, Efe Okoro, who turned 22 on Saturday, August 17, 2024. The event at Dr. Okoro’s Effurun residence attracted a distinguished gathering of dignitaries and well-wishers to a lavish reception.
Among the distinguished guests were a high-powered delegation from Orogun led by the Onotu-Uku of Orogun Kingdom, Chief Do-Good O. Efe-Nogo (JP), Chief Dr. Edwin Achugbue, Chief Theodore Efemuai, Sir Felix Metieh, Mr. Onajite Efemuai, Mr. William Efe-Nogo, Mr. Foster Akpore and Faustino Foster-Akpore.
These eminent Orogun personalities, alongside the Onuevworo of Effurun, Olorogun Emuobor Gbagi, Mr. Don Simony, and several other prominent individuals added colour to the celebration, offering warm wishes and commendations to the celebrant and his family.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and camaraderie as friends and family gathered to mark this special occasion. The event not only celebrated Efe’s 22nd birthday but also served as an opportunity for networking and discussions among the attendees, further strengthening the bonds within the Orogun community.
Dr. Okoro, in his brief remarks, expressed his gratitude to the Onotu-Uku of Orogun and other guests for honouring his family with their presence. He also congratulated his son, Efe, on his new milestone and encouraged him to continue striving for excellence.
The celebration concluded with music, dance, and sumptuous meals, leaving everyone with fond memories of the day.
