Dr. Charles Apoki, the renowned speaker and educator, addressed the eager learners of Petra Christian Academy in a captivating session centered around the theme “Don’t Be Left Behind.” The event aimed to instill in the students a global mindset and empower them to embrace the ever-evolving world around them.
With the rapid pace of change in today’s society, boundaries are being shattered, and new records are being set. Dr. Apoki emphasized the transformative power of the Internet, which offers immense opportunities to individuals worldwide. However, he also cautioned about the potentially disruptive and destructive nature of online platforms.
Gone are the days when one’s impact was confined to local events or individuals. In this information era, Dr. Apoki highlighted that anyone can make a global impact by understanding what needs to be done, where to do it, and how to do it effectively.
“Even though you may reside in a small town,” Dr. Apoki expressed, “it is crucial to develop a global mindset in your academic pursuits, skills development, and the showcasing of your talents.” He cited inspiring examples of children from impoverished backgrounds in Uganda who captivated the world with their talents and a Nigerian girl who delivered a valedictory speech in the Chinese language in China.
Dr. Apoki urged the students to break free from limited thinking and perceive themselves as global citizens. By embracing this perspective, they can better equip themselves to navigate and thrive in the current realities of the world.
“Don’t be left behind,” Dr. Apoki emphasized, underscoring the urgency of adapting to the changing times. He emphasized that excuses have no place in shaping the future and encouraged the students to take charge of their own growth and development.
The session with Dr. Charles Apoki left the learners of Petra Christian Academy inspired and motivated to embrace a global mindset, seize opportunities, and strive for excellence in all their endeavors. As they move forward, these young minds are determined not to be left behind but to become active participants in shaping the future.
