August 17, 2024 – Sapele, Delta State – Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central in the 10th Senate, hosted the Forum of Presidents General of Urhobo at his Sapele residence today. The delegation, led by its Chairman, Chief Monday Arawore, engaged in an interactive session that served as a platform for the Senator to provide updates on his ongoing efforts and future plans aimed at effectively representing the Urhobo people.
During the meeting, Senator Dafinone emphasized the critical importance of empowering the next generation of Urhobo youth by encouraging their registration and active participation in government initiatives through various agencies and parastatals. He highlighted that this approach will open up valuable opportunities for the younger generation and ensure their involvement in nation-building.
The Senator also stressed the necessity of fostering unity among the Urhobo people, urging them to acknowledge and leverage each other’s strengths. He noted that such unity is vital for the progress and collective well-being of the Urhobo Nation.
