The African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) in furtherance of its project “Promoting Transparency and Accountability in the governance process through the implementation of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) in Nigeria” with the support of the MacArthur Foundation, Wednesday April 26th, 2023, continued with its mentoring support for Anambra States OGP Administrators.
A statement released by the Programme Coordinator of Centre LSD, Mr. Lawal Amodu, stated that the two-day event will offer opportunities to hear state specific progress report and concerns, and provide guide where necessary to advance implementation of the Partnership principles in the state.
Anambra State is one of the twenty-five states that have signed up to the OGP and is determined to revamp the discourse on the OGP and move forward with its commitment to enthroning transparency and accountability and citizens participation in the governance processes.
The event will feature presentation on Open Government Partnership, pep talks on keys to organizational effectiveness, dwell on issues, and challenges in the operationalization of the State Action Plan (SAP) and chart the way forward.
