Chief Do-Good O. Efe-Nogo JP, the Oruese 1 of Orogun Kingdom, along with his amiable wife, the Ovie ‘Raye of Orogun Kingdom, Chief Mrs Bridget E. Efe-Nogo, have extended their congratulations to the Okpara-Uku-in-Council for the formal presentation of staff of office to HRM Omoefe Ozenikpe 1, the Okpara-Uku of Orogun Kingdom by the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.
In a felicitation message released to Oghwoghwa Reporters on Thursday, December 7, 2023, Efe-Nogo said that the unified support of the people of Orogun signifies their profound acceptance of the Okpara-Uku as their esteemed monarch.
“This is a testament to the exceptional qualities he has displayed, establishing himself as a servant leader,” he remarked.
Chief Efe-Nogo, serving as both a Traditional Chief and a devout Christian, offered prayers for the Okpara-Uku. He wished that the Okpara-Uku’s significant reign and leadership on the ancestral throne bring forth peace, unity, and development among both the Orogun indigenes and non-indigenous inhabitants.
Quoting Psalm 65:11, “You crown the year with Your bounty, and Your paths overflow with plenty,” Efe-Nogo prayed for the enduring nature of the royal crown, the stability of the staff of office, and the longevity of the Okpara-Uku’s leadership.
The Efeno-Nogos, who are a significant diasporan contributor to the development of Orogun also prayed for the Okpara-Uku’s long life, peaceful coexistence among his subjects, and harmony within the Urhobo nation as a whole.
